Atlantic Tape & Packaging Becomes PalletVision's Inaugural Channel Partner
The first wrap-point verification system to score load integrity before a pallet ships is now available through one of the industry’s most trusted packaging distributors.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — July 28, 2026 — Most shipping docks run on the same documentation strategy: a cell phone photo, a clipboard log, and a signature certifying that the load left in good condition. When a freight claim comes in, and more than half are denied for lack of proof, there is nothing defensible to show for it.
PalletVision was built to fix that. The company announced its commercial launch and the appointment of Atlantic Tape & Packaging (ATP) as its inaugural channel partner, bringing automated wrap-point verification to 3PLs, manufacturers, and distributors across ATP’s existing customer base.
What PalletVision Does
PalletVision mounts at existing stretch wrap stations and captures dimensions, wrap integrity, and load condition automatically, at the moment of wrap, while the pallet is still in motion. Every load receives a time-stamped, immutable digital record before it reaches the truck. No manual steps. No IT involvement. Nothing on the dock gets replaced.
The system generates a Load Health Score for every pallet. Dock operators can catch a wrap problem before it ships, not after it arrives damaged and a claim gets filed. No competitor scores wrap integrity or predicts whether a load will survive the trip. That is the differentiator.
The Problem It Solves
The costs your dock isn’t tracking add up fast. Labor spent on manual photo-logging and documentation runs $40,000 or more per facility annually, based on 1,600 pallets per month at five minutes per pallet and a $25/hr burdened labor rate (PalletVision internal estimate). More than 50% of freight claims are denied due to insufficient documentation (Translogistics). And 30% of film cost is wasted from over-wrapping, because without data, operators err on the side of more (Robopac USA).
“The shipping dock has historically been a place where a lot of money disappears quietly,” said David Ginbey, Chief Evangelist and Founder of PalletVision. “Denied claims, wasted film, and labor that shouldn’t require a human step, none of it shows up as a line item until someone runs the numbers. We built PalletVision to make those numbers impossible to ignore, and to fix them automatically.”
Built and Validated on the Dock
Before PalletVision went to market, it ran at a high-velocity distribution center in Newnan, GA. Chris Roberts, Operations Manager at Atlantic Tape & Packaging, was the first operator to put the system into daily production. His team wrapped more than 45,000 pallets under real conditions, including shift changes, mixed load types, and peak volume periods. That real-world validation, run on ATP's own dock, shaped the product. The version ATP is now bringing to its customers is not a prototype. It is a system that has already proven itself under production pressure, in ATP's own operation.
Why Atlantic Tape & Packaging
ATP brings decades of dock-level relationships and packaging expertise to the partnership. As PalletVision's inaugural partner, ATP representatives can now offer customers something no other packaging distributor currently provides: a way to verify that high-performance materials are performing, and to prove it, every time, on every load.
“We’ve always been committed to helping our clients protect their product and their bottom line,” said Mike Benton, President at Atlantic Tape & Packaging. “When a customer is over-wrapping, we can see it in the data and dial it back, that’s real money recovered on every pallet. And when a load isn’t getting enough stretch film to survive the trip, we catch it before it ships, not after it arrives damaged. Now we’re not just selling the material, we’re proving it’s working.”
ATP representatives are equipped with PalletVision's full sales toolkit, giving them everything they need to educate customers and build the case for verification at the wrap point, including a free ROI assessment built on each facility's actual pallet volume, current claim rate, and labor costs.
