That's not a hypothetical. It's the exact situation PalletVision's Chief Evangelist, Dave Ginbey, watched play out on a warehouse floor, and it's the moment that sparked the idea for the company.
In a new video, Dave walks through the origin story directly. Warehouses were already taking photos before every shipment, some with phones, some with cameras that looked like they'd been pulled out of a drawer in 1992. The photos existed. But when a real claim came in weeks later, those same teams admitted the photos were essentially useless, because nobody could locate them. They were buried in someone's camera roll, a device that got replaced, a shared drive nobody indexed.
A photo you can't produce isn't proof. It's just a task someone did and then forgot about.
That gap, between taking a photo and being able to actually use it, became the founding idea behind PalletVision.
